CERTIFICATE
UBC does not give credit for this course. However, students
will receive a certificate at the end of the program indicating
the time period involved and the level attained. A file will
be kept for each student containing records of marks, attendance,
participation, etc. The certificate together with this file
may enable you to obtain credits from institutions other
than UBC. A photocopy of your file will be sent to any institution
requesting it.
PLEASE NOTE
French immersion is only possible with your cooperation.
In residence, in class and during socio-cultural activities,
everything is set up to make French the only language you
need. Students who persist nevertheless in speaking English
and who are not willing to put the necessary effort into
speaking French will be given a warning; if they still do
not demonstrate an interest in the immersion experience,
they will be asked to leave the program. A sincere effort
to speak French at all times is essential to maintain the
French immersion atmosphere in the program.
