CONDITIONS OF REGISTRATION AND PARTICIPATION

RESERVATION

1. The University of British Columbia ("UBC") reserves the right to expel any person whose actions or general deportment disrupt or impede the operation of the program or the welfare or enjoyment of other members of the program.

2. UBC accepts no responsibility for lost or stolen articles or tickets.

RELEASE OF LIABILITY AND INDEMNIFICATION

I, the undersigned, hereby ACKNOWLEDGE, WARRANT, AND REPRESENT THAT:

1. I am 19 years of age or older, in good health and appropriate physical condition for travel, and I am not suffering from any physical or mental condition that might be aggravated by my participation in the program or that might pose a danger to myself or others while I am engaged in the program.

2. I have been advised to arrange for extended medical insurance coverage on my own account that will cover any medical or hospital expenses that I may incur during the period of the program.

3. The University of British Columbia and/or its agents ("UBC") assume no liability in connection with the service of any train, vessel, carriage, aircraft, bus, motor vehicle or other conveyance which may be used in the above-mentioned program (the "program"), neither will it assume any liability for any injury, loss, accident or delay which may be occasioned by reason of any defect in any vehicle or through the act, error, neglect, negligence or default of any company or person engaged in conveying the participants in this program.

4. UBC and/or its agents assumes no liability for any cancellation, injury, loss, accident or delay occasioned by the proprietor, employee, or service of any hotel, hostel or other type of accommodation used by this program.

5. In consideration of my being permitted to participate in the program, the undersigned does hereby for himself/herself, his/her heirs, executors, administrators, successors and assigns release and forever discharge UBC, its agents, directors, officers, faculty, staff, volunteers, trainees and representatives from any and all actions, claims or demands by reason of any loss or injury to person or property arising from the operation of the program.

6. I further agree to save harmless and indemnify UBC, its agents, directors, officers, faculty, staff, volunteers, trainees and representatives from and against all claims, actions, costs or expenses in respect to death, injury, loss or damage to person or property howsoever caused arising out of or in connection with the operation of the program.

I have read the program description and the conditions of my registration and participation, INCLUDING THE RELEASE OF LIABILITY AND INDEMNIFICATION and agree to them.
