UBC acknowledges the support provided for these programs by the Province and Canada

Bursary programs for teachers

There are three programs offered by Continuing Studies at UBC that qualify for bursaries covering tuition (plus a portion of relocation expenses in the case of the institutes)

Institut de Français, UBC à Québec

Institut de Français à UBC

French Immersion Weekend

Some undergraduate credit courses offered by

the French, Hispanic and Italian Studies Department

and by the Linguistics Department

of the Faculty of Arts

and by the Language and Literacy Education Department

of the Faculty of Education also qualify for bursaries to a maximum of 50% of tuition.

Bursaries are not available for graduate courses.

Bursary programs for Canadian and permanent resident students

UBC offers only two bursary programs for students, the

Explore (Summer Language Bursary) Programs

in French and English

(those studying in Canada on a student visa are not eligible)

 

the French Centre does not have bursaries for International students

International students should contact the Canadian Ambassy or Consulate in their own country.

There are no differential fees for International students taking French Centre courses but there are differential fees for most other UBC courses, especially credit courses.
